I've been steadily working on painting my Khador collection for a local Journeymen League. Here is the first 'Jack off the line. I want all my 'Jacks to have a hotrod look to them so this Berserker is clean with a little touch of pinstripe.

Journeyman's IMC Prize Support
Holy late posts, Batman!
Yes, the IMC was a couple months ago, but for those of you that couldn't attend, here's the chance to see what I painted for support. I decided to do a Croak Hunter, to give me more experience working with skin.

Scotty's IMC prize support: Midas, Farrow Warlock
Painted this guy up as my contribution for the InterMountain Cup prize support.
While I thought he was a fig that would be a lot of fun to paint in the beginning, I ended up really struggling to like my progress, and let it get right down to the wire on finishing him.
I had planned to make big 'ol pile of guts and bones in front of him, like he had just recently slaughtered some hapless victim, however, I ran out of Green stuff and did not have time to get more before I absolutely had to start slinging paint.
After all is said and done, I think he is a passable enough paint job.
Thanks for looking. Scotty-

Infinity: Morat Agression Force!
Finally had time to finish up the original starter for my Combined
army, and also busted out the Zerat Hacker at about the same time! Had
the Zerat sitting on my desk, just bare white primer for a long time. I
was really struggling with color placement on her, and since Infinity
figs are so clean, you really have to think about that before you start
slingin the paint.
Scarab helped me immensely with the color choices and placement, otherwise I don't think she'd be even close to finished yet. The Vanguards were pretty easy as I had already finished one a while back when I first got the box set.

Grim's IMC Prize Support
The IMC has come and gone…
As prize support for the IMC I put a few weeks of nightly paint sessions into these guys and they were finished just in the nick of time. I finished these three at 2:30AM Sept 14th, giving me just enough time to sleep for approx 4 hours, and spend the entire day at the Intermountain Cup. I had a good time at the cup, and was glad that we were able to provide some prize support for this enormous event.
Here is a pic: I hope that the person who won these in the raffle enjoys them.

Thanks for Watching!

Piper of Tir-Na-Bor
Finished up this tiny little bugger a little while back. I really,
really enjoy painting them a lot! This one is an older fig in the
Rackham line, so is a little more static, but I love how cartooney the
faces were back then!
I threw in a group shot since I had rounded these guys out to a solid little force of five. Thanks for looking. Scotty-

Inter Mountain Cup recap
This past weekend in Ogden, UT the IMC Fall tournament took place. 64 slots for players and I believe 58 attended that day. It was a great turnout with a professional camera man and a wonderful painting contest. Here are my photos from the event.

Clash for a cure: Saxon Orrick
Got my donation to the C4C finished a while back as well, but just
now found a second to slap him on up here. Kind of went all over the
place with the coloring on this guy, but I think it came together well
in the end.
I went fairly simple for the base, but wanted it to look like a native part of our (southern) Utah landscape. Hence the red dirt and dead grass!
Thanks for taking a look!

Grims Mini Swap WIP
So I have been spending a whole lot of time playing Warmahordes and doing modifications or conversions on my Trollbloods army. So my painting time has suffered a bit. However I did get a bit of time this last little bit to work on this little dude for Scotty. A classic Warrior of the Abyss from the Mid Nor of Confrontation.

The Hobby within a Hobby
There are a lot of things people do with their hobby time. Most people play their games, paint their figs, research their lists, drool over the latest models. But everyone i believe has their "secret" hobby, or their hobby within a hobby.
This is something that could be called a hobby in it's own right, but is used to help elevate the primary hobby. Sometimes these hobbies are a direct result of needing something for your little army men. Does this sound familiar?

Lanyssa and Blending
About two weeks ago I picked up a Minions model, Lanyssa, Ryssall. I heard that she had some good synergy with some of my Warmachine lists, giving some much needed movement to some of my troops. I knew that I would be getting her eventually, and I knew I wanted to do something unique and new with her cloak. I had seen many different ways of doing it, ranging from single color to freehand design. But I wanted to try my hand at wet blending, and I think the result came out great. Here's a photo of just the cape:

Mini Swap: Wildchevy for Mephistoles
Here is an update on my part of the mini swap.
Meph wants his Slannesh Champion to be pink. I started off with the metal areas and progressively tinted the metal. First layer was a blue wash and once that dried I went back over with the gunmetal color avoiding the deep areas. Next layer was with a purple wash and again I went back with metal but this time a brighter color. The last layer of tint was with pink and the brightest silver I have to just pick out the high spots.

May Mini Swap: Wildchevy for Mephistoles
Names have been drawn, minis have been prepped, and meet ups in dark parking lots have begun.
This May the guys from Geek Garage will be doing a mini swap. These swaps are always fun and bring out a nice challenge to break out of the norm.
I'll be painting for Mephistoles and he handed me one of his precious legacy miniatures which is a Slannesh Champion.
Here's what I have to start with.

Wings of His Enemies
Speaking of slackers, guess who finally showed up! Me, Journeyman! Sorry guys for the massive gap between posts, but I've got a special treat for you all.
A few weeks ago, a local player had a great idea for Lich Lord Terminus. Mod his wings so they looked like they were made from the skins of his enemies. I thought, "Man, that is a stellar and fantastic idea. Not only will I get a chance to practice various skin tones, he'll have a very unique Terminus on the table. A few weeks passed, and here it is.

Borka Conversion!
Well, looks like someone in the Garage has been a slacker.... Yeah... it was this dude!
DOH!!
I apologize for the long delay... I could fill you with all of my excuses... but instead I'll just get right into my latest project:
So, when I first saw this picture of Borka I knew that was a caster I would have to play some time.
His sculpt was released, and while the sculpt itself is a pretty darn cool sculpt, I really wanted to recreate this epic "Im gonna knock your head outta the park like Babe Ruth" pose.
And so the idea festered, and finally I jumped and decided to give it a go...

A BIG Thanks to the IMC
Well the IMC is done and over with. We here at the Garage want to shout out a big THANK YOU to the IMC organizers, all of the players, and the Gamers Asylum for running such a top notch event.
I personally had a lot of fun during this whole event. Really can't say enough about how well everything was run. I have been to a few tournaments in my day, and I have to say that for a tourney that touted 46 players this thing ran without a hitch!
We here at the Garage were glad to see our paint work was appreciated and were happy to see the smiles on the winners faces as they accepted their prizes.
Going forward we are very excited to continue our relationship with the IMC and are happy to continue to provide only the COOLEST of paint jobs as prize support for such an awesome event.
I snapped a whole load of pics I have included a good portion of them below.
Thanks again to all involved with the IMC and here's to many more!!

Warzone Imperial Hedgehog Necromower WIP
The son of a friend of mine likes the old game Warzone. I thought I would paint up a figure and give it to him. Here is a shot of it before I paint it up.
Where 2 Zulus are, 508 will follow...
Two of my 510 Zulus, er, 509 Zulus. Mom thinks she needs one in her china hutch. I guess she thinks her plates need guarding.

Scotty's IMC prize WIP: Circle Orboros
Just a real quick update on how the Circle battle box is coming along for my IMC prize.
I was following the studio scheme fairly close at first but as I layed down the black on the armor filigree so the gold could go on smoother, I had to pause for a second, and I realized I really liked the black with the green quite a bit.
What are your thoughts on this, should I continue on and do the gold as originally planned or throw some highlights on that black and call it good?
More updates soon!

Panda's IMC Prize WIP: Gorman Di Wulfe
Here is my contribution to our prize support for the upcoming Intermountain Cup!
I've attempted my first piece of OSL on him and am super happy with how he is turning out so far. Obviously my transitions are not the greatest currently but I will be smoothing them out in the future before he's finished.

IMC prize WIP: Gatorman Witch Doctor
My contribution to the prize support for IMC. Still a bunch to do on this fellow, but I have the basic shading done on the cloth areas, they are going to stay a little dark as there is so much detail on the rope "webbing" all over it. The skin is coming along nicely and despite my urge to shove paint brushes in my eye, the individual scale highlighting is starting to take shape. :) More updates to follow soon as a few areas tidy up.
I have BIG plans for the base ... they must remain secret for now, but if all goes well I hope the base I am working on will be pretty impressive.
Information can be found here.

Scotty's IMC Prize WIP
Well, unfortunately I cant even call this much of a WIP yet even though I have put a few hours into them at this point.
These figs had been through some rough times when they got to me, but a dip, soak and scrub with acetone got em back in shape and ready to assemble.
Just have a bit of green stuffing to do and the I can prime and catch up to the pack on this project!
This will be the 3rd time I have painted up the classic Circle starter, so it ought to be a breeze once I get started.
Stay tuned for some actual paint progress soon .

Grim's IMC Prize Support
Alright folks in case you didn't hear, we here at Geek Garage are currently sponsoring the Inter-Mountain Cup, IMC, this is a Warmachine/Hordes tournament, this year it happens to be a Warmachine Weekend Qualifying tournament as well.
We as a crew here at the Garage decided to offer up some support for our local press gangers. So we did what we love best... Painted some figs. We will be using these painted figs as prize support during the tournament, some will be raffled end of the later rounds of the tourney and others will be given away to best painted army, and best painted battle group.
All in all this should be a whole lot of fun. We hope to have a long and fun partnership with the IMC.
Now with that said here is my entry:
Click the link for some progress shots... these guys are clearly still WIP... click the link drop a comment, question, critique, anything really.
