Finished these up for a local commission. They are part of a larger force that will get basically the same paint treatment. I tried a few different battle damaging techniques on these guys, perhaps some of you have seen the salt and spray. Well, I tried it and I'm still a bit iffy on it. I really thought the process would be easier, but I had a hell of a time getting the wet rock salt to stick to the figs, maybe there is a better way to do it but I couldnt figure it out. So, they are not quite as beat up as I would like but all in all I like how they turned out.
I do believe that once I get back to painting my own Khador again, my Demo Corps will get this same (or very nearly) paintjob.
The weathering (and models!) looks great! I've been wanting to try the salt method as it seems to yield really nice results, but I've been a bit iffy on how easy it is or isn't.
ReplyDeleteLooks good bro. Like the weathering and the snow bases... (how the Hell do you get the snow to look so good?)...plus I have to say that color scheme is my fave for the old "Kay"-dorans.
ReplyDeleteI love the alternate Khador scheme. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments.
ReplyDelete@ Grim. Just baking powder, glue and water to smooth it out. :)
